Position requirements:
BSME & 5 years minimum experience with 3 years significant involvement in plastic injection molding business and 1-year in a management role. Competencies of the job recommend a demonstrated ability to lead & manage in a matrix management setting. Demonstrated ability in both written & verbal communications, including the ability to make effective presentations to both internal & external groups. Effective negotiating skills involving pricing, order changes, terms & conditions and contract terms. Demonstrated leadership and analytical capability for overall financial management and control of projects.

PROJECT ENGINEER
–
Initiate customer communication on part design improve-ments, manufacturing details, and cost or scheduling areas. Provide pre-production sales support (e.g. customer meetings and design reviews. Coordinate interdepartmental functions using the project management system.Advise operations engineering manager and affected personnel of potential and actual cost/scheduling/ quality issues. Recommend corrective action or alternatives. Develop estimated costs and schedules for project revisions. Provide necessary data to the Tool Design department. Provide a capable manufacturing process to the manufacturing facility. Assist with creating initial manufacturability process specifications including documentation. Supply business development support with direct customer contact (some travel required).

QUALITY ENGINEER
–
Define & document quality requirements and expectations of customers and suppliers. Develop and maintain manufacturability quality plans, evaluate process capability, and support the development of processes to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Develop & maintain manufacturing quality plans including inspecction and control plans.
- Design and develop necessary gaging procedures, test fixtues, & visual standards.
- Communicate with customer & supplier reps on quality-related requirements & issues.
- Initiate, coordinate, or participate in corrective action plans for internal & external discrepancies.
- Monitor project quality costs, initiate coordinate, or participate in cost improvement plans.
- Develop qualification requirements for purchased components & services.
- Evaluate & qualify purchased components & services based on documented qualification requirements.
- Develop appropriate statistical techniques to assess process capability and monitor process control.
- Provide quality engineering, as required, for development of new processes as part of project support.

Position requirements:
BSME or equivalent engineering degree. 1-3 experience as a Quality Analyst or Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Contract Assembly and/or injection molding experience preferred. Medical device and/or automotive industry a plus.
Recommended Competencies.
1. Thorough understanding of applied industrial statistics, including capability analysis and DOE
2. Able to perform Metrology, Geometric GD&T & gage design
3. In-depth understanding & ability to use FMEA and MSA
4. Working knowledge of Project Management
5. Familiarity with QMS standards including ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, ISO 13485 & cGMP
6. Knowledge of IQ/OQ validation processes for medical device processes (assembly area) or
7. Knowledge of APQP and PPAP for automotive processes (injection molding area).
