Used to determine initial plastic gear specifications data, load analysis, safety factors and materials specifications, this interactive programs allows the gear designer to input size parameters for spur or helical gears including: numbers of teeth, pitch, face, center distance, power, torque and tangential load. Additionally, designers can vary the parameters to suit an application and verify the relative difference as indicated by a safety factor. The program then offers composition recommendations for gear construction.
