The goal in material selection is to achieve the lowest cost while meeting the requirements
of the molding process as well as the load, speed and environmental conditions that the
gear will be exposed to during the life of the product.
Because filled materials do not shrink uniformly, the ability to achieve a high AGMA class
will be negatively impacted. Therefore, materials specifications may need to be tighter than
those specified by the material supplier in order to reduce variation and to achieve the
highest class possible. You can rely on UFE's depth of experience to select the appropriate
materials that meet your design, manufacturing, and performance requirements.
