Proper function of a gear train or a gear system requires a design-for-assembly analysis
that considers the loads, speed, and environmental conditions the system will be subjected
to under operating conditions. Also, backlash considerations must be made when specifying
the gear geometry as well as the center distances for mounting the individual gears. UFE
